We recently completed the design of a beautiful two bed apartment in Drumcondra and wanted to share the process.
The Brief
We were initally approached during the pandemic, our client had grown tired of the dated interior in her apartment and felt it needed a general makeover throughout. The brief was to freshen up the space while also incorporating unique touches here and there to make it her very own.
The Before
A subtle and soft colour palette was created for the space. Due to lack of natural light in the main hallway, we installed Transom windows above each door that accessed this passageway. This allowed an abundance of glorious natural light to flow throughout the apartment.
The Main Bedroom
We worked with our client to create a more feminine scheme for this space, with the introduction of soft colourways and an array of interesting texture. A gorgeous botanical patterned wallpaper acts as the main focal point in this space. The original wardrobes were replaced with custom made units, featuring a delicate rattan detail on the frontal aspect & finished off with brass hardware to tie in with the feature wallpaper.
The Main Bathroom
We combined bold patterns and a soft palette to create a striking statement in this neat bathroom.
The black and white floor tiles, installed in a herringbone format, act as the main anchor in this scheme. The glossy mint green wall tiles allows light to travel around the space. In vertical format, the wall tiles offers up more height to the room. The addition of the black trim tile running along the perimeter adds further definition to the space. A vanity unit along with a slatted timber storage console were custom made for this Modern Art Deco makeover – dreamy!
